Spanish teacher training course from July 25-29, 2025. It was a wonderful experience, in terms of input, the materials shared, and the staff's preparation. You arrive and everything is arranged, even your accommodations. The teachers are super friendly and very, very good... I would go back tomorrow. The teachers are all very well-prepared and professional. The school organizes city tours related to different aspects such as art and literature. In the afternoon, you can watch movies and participate in conferences on all topics. I've never seen such attention toward students. I recommend it to everyone.

Honest review: Can't recommend this school for anyone who actually wants to learn spanish. I was there for a 3 weeks course and it didn't go as I expected...(important to note the school recently changed owner, so many of the good old reviews might refer to the old, but closed school)

Here's why:
-The classes are set up with students with very different levels (in my C1 course we had people with an actual level of B1). This happens because they only use a multiple choice test to assign the level instead of a indivual assesment.
Besides there are many students that stay there for several months, who are simply put into higher courses because they have been there for a long time, but don't have the corresponding level, this happened in nearly every course.

-Also there are many students who are probably forced to be there but they don't actually want to learn spanish which impairs the dynamic in the groups immensly.

-The book they use is badly designed. Compared to the many book I've used stuyding spanish, this was one of the worst ones, sometimes there are mistakes, there are no solutions for students but mainly it's badly structered and contains many repetive, pointless tasks that didn't teach me anything.

- Some of the teachers are really lovely, others are not so this depends on luck I guess, but I personally didn't feel welcome/comfortable with some of the teachers.

I could add many more small things but those are the main reasons. The 2 stars is just for the friendly and helpful people of the administration and the few nice profesor@s.
I've been to another language school in Spain (Debla in Málaga) which was soo much better, so I know it's possible to offer great spanish courses. Here you won't find them unfortuntely

I have unforgettable memories of my stay at Colegio Delibes, it was a great August in 2002. I was there more for fun, but with the wonderful teachers Ludmila and Silvia, I learned a lot in one month. Meeting people from all over the world was exciting.

Came here last year and had the best time. However this year was a lot different. The school is incredibly rude and stereotypical towards irish people. Giving them earlier curfews not allowing leeway with parents it’s so horrible. I don’t understand how a school gets away with stereotypes against the irish race. Loved it here and talked nothing good about last year but will he warning my peers about not choosing this school and instead to choose the other school down the road. Do better Colegio Delibes im not impressed with the borderline racism against irish people.

Colegio Delibes is a really great school with some amazing teachers and principal. I came to Salamanca with no prior spanish knowledge and after just 7 weeks I can speak some basic spanish. The teachers are really talkative and nice, and makes you feel comfortable speaking a new language. The pensum is ambitious but realistic and with 2 hours of grammar lessons and 2 hours of speaking lessons you learn a lot in a short time. Every evening there are after school activites like presentation of spanish history and culture and tours around in the beautiful city of Salamanca. Unfortunately, I dislocated my kneecap while playing basketball with some students. The principal Miquel did more than you can expect. He helped me with whatever I needed like buy medicine, drove me to the hospital and setup physiotherapist. I during my injury I never felt lost or alone. My accommodation was really good as well and a close 5-8 minute walk from the school. Everything could not be any better. Miquel and the rest of the school deserve 5 stars. I can give my biggest recommendation. Muchas gracias.

100% Recommended ! Colegio Delibes has an incredible learning environment with small class sizes and individual attention to every student. I was lucky enough to have a year to spend learning spanish with the school and went from absolutely 0 spanish to fluent in this time. The teachers and staff are warm and make you feel welcome from the day you walk through the door. On top of the hours spent in the classroom with talented teachers, they also provide fun activities in the afternoons and weekends to maximize exposure to the city, language, and culture. I would recommend this school to anyone interested in learning spanish at any level!
